Hi guys... i gave my VISA interview on 29th April.....
0815 hrs slot....
Interview time:- 0910 hrs
the interview lasted for hardly 1 min or even less...
The VO was a smart lady (unsure of her age)
VO:- (Wid a very sweet smile) Good morning gentleman.. I see u r going to Oklahoma state university. For Wad course?
ME:- Very Good Morning Ma'am (I wanted to say u r looking very good, but controlled..)... I wish to pursue my Masters in Industrial Engineering with specialisation in Operations Research.
VO:- Good. How many universities did u apply?
ME:- 8, Purdue, NCSU, USC, Lehigh, blah blah...
VO:- (She was taken back a bit) Ohh i see u applied to all big schools, why so?
ME:- I had good grades throughout my engineering career and I was confident of an acceptance from one of these good schools..
VO:- Very Good, so u have got a first class through out engg?
ME:- Yea 63% agg for 4 years and 69% last year.
VO:- Very Good. So i see in ur form dat ur working in LNT rite now. Since when are u working there?
ME:- I have been there since 1 year 9 months dats from July 07, after i finished my BE studies.
VO:- Good, So who is sponsoring ur education?
ME:- My mother will be sponsoring my education.
VO:- She's workin somewhere?
ME:- Yea, she is working for so and so bank in India.
VO:- Very good. Ur visa is approved. Study well and have fun in Oklahoma.
ME:- Thnkx Ma'am have a good day..

VO: Hello
VO: (Scratching his head) Y UHCL ?
me: standard reply
VO:Y US ?
me:.........
VO: other admits and rejects
me: Told 2 admit 2 rejects and 1 pending.
VO:GRE/TOEFL scores
me: 1310 with 790 in quant sir and 104 in toefl
VO: U have prety good scores, Y u ddnt apply to sm mre top schools ?
me: said smthn whateva came to my mind ( cuz in da back ov my mind i was thinking bout my low acads and backlogs and ws jst prayin dat he shdnt ask tis othrwse m in trouble lol )
VO: Who is sponsoring u ?
me: summarizd financial details ov my parents..
VO: Ok sir ur visa will be couriered to u within 4 days.
me: Thanks


Destination : University of Alabama, tuscaloosa
Major : MS in Aerospace engg.
Visa Interview Location : Chennai
Waiting time : about 1 hour.
Time of Interview : 7:00 (as in the appointment letter) but it took place by 9 after th formalities and waiting.

VO: ok thts good. Ur going with full waivered assistanship! thts good miss. ur visa is approved. It will be couriered to u in a week's time along with ur passport. Have a great time with grad studies.
