Vo: what is your specialization?
me: I am going to do my masters in Power Systems.
Vo: Come to that again
me: Power Systems...Basically it deals with the generation, transmission n distribution....(Interrupts me)
Vo: OH OKAY! which school u r going to?
me: University of Houston.
Vo: who is going to fund you?
me: My father n my mother.
Vo: tell me their total annual income
me: told( sorry guys its a secret )

o: OH OKAY!..what r ur plans after MS?
me:( each n every indians says we will come back to India..how stupid...vo's r not dumb...so i thought i will go around it in a diff way...sayin the same thing wid a diff flavor)... I would like to work in a leading company of india like Reliance power, tata power.
vo: (now the dreaded question...) will they ABSORB you after your BE?
me: ( waat lag gayi thi meri yeh sun kar)... i said" YES they will"
vo: (dreader PART-2)... SO WHY DO MASTER's?
me: (you guys dont know what i felt inside wen i heard this... i uttered a marathi gali inside my mind.... i am saying this beacuse i m not a marathi...so u can see how my brain was processing..lol.. all this happened within a micro sec... n i immediately said..) it would give me a good carrear growth prospect, i would get a better start and because of masters from USA i might lead that company one day.
Vo: hmm... NICE...
me: (smiles )
vo: so do u have have any plans to stay in USA?
me: NO. because my family n friends who mean a lot to me are in india.
vo: any frnds in US?
me: NO
vo: and frnds in INDIA?
me: lots of friends
vo: (smiles and points his finger at me saying thats what i wanted..quickly that smile vanishes n he gets back to business)... U know u were rejected a visa for USA 10 years ago? DID all 4 of you applied together? do u know y u were rejected?
me: YES.. n blahhhhh( i didt feel like boring u people by typin it)
vo: have u been to canada or europe?
me: NO. but i have been to thailand, malaysia, n singapore..( i tried to be a smarty pant here by saying that i have been abroad..but this back fired... u will see y...keep reading)

vo: so for the past 10 years u have never gone somewhere near the USA...@##%%$#%^#$^( suddenly there was a loud announcement )
me: sorry i cudnt hear that... the announcement was too loud..
VO: (visibly very very n i mean very irratated...he leaned towards the glass n said LISTEN TO ME PROPERLY....( i know u must be thinking that meri toh @##$% fat gayi hogi...n btw u guys r very rite) u have never been anywhere near usa..y?
me: actually dad plans my vacations...so i got no say in it.
vo: OH kay.. but i guess u r going for a students visa... so it shudnt be a problem..
me: hmm..
vo: i hope to see u back in INDIA after 2 years... YOUR VISA HAS BEEN ISSUED..PASSPORT WILL BE COURIERED to u in 2 days...
me: 100%...you will pakka see me after 2 year( i did say 'pakka'..lol...cause my brain stoped working n i thought i was going to be rejected)...you made my day...have a gr8 day ahead.
vo: buh bye
me: bye.

Vo: Morning.
VO: Which University?
Me: Auburn University.
VO: Where is it?
Me: Alabama.
VO: Why did you want to become an engineer?
Me: I like technology and I would like to create some new technology in the future myself..(Silly answer, but could not think of anything else.)
VO: Do you beleive Indians make any new technolgies? (Was a bit pissed by the way he asked this question)
Me:Of course sir. Indians are doing a great job in Indian as well as foreign companies in their R and D departments.
VO:GRE score?
me:1350.
VO:Who is funding your education?
me:My father.
VO:Wats his annual income?
me:told
VO:but your i-20 amount is large. can he afford it?
me:Sir he was working abroad for the last 20 years so he has enough asstes to fund my education.
VO:Tell me about your finances.
me:told.
VO:alright, your visa is approved.
