me:(ball is in your court....whack it hard)i told....
note:she didnt understand a word of what i spoke w.r.t my area of interest.....in simple tamil....adichuvittaen...yaen estathukku....
VI:what does your dad do?
me:told
VI:iam issuing you an visa.Your passport will be couriered to you in one weeks time.
me:thank you mam!!!

Me: (Handed over the pink token to VO)
VO: How r u doing?
Me: Good Morning sir, I'm doing great.
VO: (Typing something on computer) so which specialization u wanna focus on?
Me: Nanoelectronics sir.
VO: Umm.. do u have a background in this subject?
Me: I have done my B.E. In electrical engineering.. we had subjects related to Electronics circuit design.. so as a circuit designer...(he interrupted me in between.. I felt like i made a big mistake by over-explaining...oh god! whats now?)....
VO: Okay... so how are u planning to pay for the expenses?
Me: We have xxxx amount as liquid investments in bank which will take care of more than one year of my expenses at NCSU and for rest of the expenses, we have other investments worth xxxxx.
VO: so that is your total family assets or your money?(since i am working)
Me: Yes Sir. (Couldn't imagine how a single person can have this much money.. Shocked hehe..)
VO: What do ur parents do?
Me: My father works in XYZ company as xxx. and mother works in ABC company as xxx.
VO: (looked impressed with this..)
(VO Returns my I20... I could see the positive signs.. was getting excited..)
VO: I am issuing you a visa.
Me: Thank you very much Sir.

Vo:Hello
Me:Hello Sir, good Morning
VO:(Looking at the Computer Screen) So you have been to the US before?
Me:Yes, to do a research internship during my UG for 2 months.
VO:Oh! okay on a J-1 visa.
Me: yes sir.
VO:So you are not on J-1 Status any more (looking at the Visa stamp on my passport then scratching the barcode of the already expiried Visa with his pen)
Me: No Sir.
VO: So now you are going for your Masters in civil Engineering?
Me:Yes Sir.
VO:From where did you complete your UG?
me: National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra
VO:How are you going to fund yourself? ( he looked too casual by the time he asked me this question)
me: My parents, My father has x lakhs and my mother has y lakhs. ( Looked impressed)
VO: Your Visa is Issued.
Me: Thank you, Sir
