Me: Biotech (saying this my heart started thumping, I was kinda sure that he is going to give the dreaded pink slip after listening to the words “biotech”)
VO: When did you finish your undergrad?
ME: June last year. Since then I’ve been working at Dr. Reddy’s Labs on protein purification. (just said this to divert him from biotech!)
VO: Working on what?
ME: Purification
VO: (Screening my I-20) This university funding of $37k will take care of all the expenses?
ME: Yeah, this is onlythe fee waiver,apart from this I have also got a teaching assistantship paying me $24K/annum
VO: (appears too impressed) You must be feeling on a high and you must have worked really hard for this
ME: yeah, that’s true…I did
VO: I see no reason why you won’t continue to work hard while enjoying your stay in chicago! Your visa is approved (Smile)
ME: Yeah I’ll…thanks a lot
VO: enjoy your time there.
ME: Thanks.

Me: Hey Morning
VO: Hey how are you??
VO looks at my passport, and says oh so you have been to VT before??
Me: Yeah as a summer intern.
Vo: So internships leads to masters, good.
Me: Thanks.
VO: Who is taking care of the costs and what does he do??
Me: Told.
VO glances at my I20 and tells me that I cant be inUS 30 days prior to the date mentioned. Your visa is approved.

VO: So what would you like to do after your masters
ME: I'd like to come back to India. I'm working with IBM right now and I'm pretty sure I'll get a job back there.

VO: types somethings....

VO: Looks up and says>> How long have you been working with IBM
Me: Two years..

VO: Who's sponsoring you?
Me: My family


VO: What does your Father do?
me: told

VO: What does your mother do, Is she also working?
ME: No she's a housewife.

VO: Types something again...

VO: OK sir ur VISA is approved, you'll get it by courier in 5 days.
Me: Smile and say thanks you..
