Me: Mam, I have saved 4 lacs Rs for my education.
VI: How come that’s possible when you are earning 5 Lacs and saved 4 lacs?
Me: mam, I am making this much money every year since last 3 years.

Me: My father is working as consultant in industry and rest of blah blah as my father is retired.
VI: How much he is earning?
Me: He is earning 4 lacs rs pa.

VI: Nopes I want to see Proofs.
Me: Passed on the bank statements and bank passbooks
VI: (Went through it for some time and then pointing at my brother’s name in bank statement) Who is Prashant?
Me: Mam, he is my brother who is also sponsoring me.
VI: (Gets angry and gives my docs back) I am not interested in any other docs gimme only yours and your father’s docs.
Me: (Took it back detached my mothers and brothers docs and passed on only mine and dads docs)
VI: (Going through for some while then typing something onto her computer) Your VISA is issued.
Me: (With a big sigh!) Thanks mam, thanks a lot. You made my day.
VI: A big smile on face, gives me I20 back
